Pro Series Retreatment

A sequence of three identifiable files to remove gutta percha, carrier-based obturators, and paste fillers. The D1 file has a working tip for initial penetration; short 11 mm handles for visibility.

• D1–D3 sequence, taper .07–.09

Protocol for use

1. Lowest effective speed (~500 rpm) to engage and remove obturation.
2. Press the spinning file into gutta percha to generate heat and extract material.
3. D1 to clear the coronal third; D2 mid-canal with brushing; D3 into the apical third.
4. If material is short of the terminus, finish with small hand files.
